Development of the so-called “McLaren F1 project” took six years. Over this time multiple concepts were designed and put through their paces, until finally a car was created that was outstanding in every single detail.

Due to the fact that McLaren started a partnership with Mercedes-Benz to initiate the development of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, the production of the McLaren F1 was stopped in 1998 after only 64 cars had been completed.

The few people that had the opportunity to drive the F1 McLaren confirmed the fact that no other street car has been developed that comes as close to this one in terms driving dynamics.
