The RAF’s answer to the P-40! The P-40E Kittyhawk was the Royal Air Force’s designation for the popular Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. Kittyhawks were favored by pilots throughout WWII because of their ability to withstand harsh elements and combat conditions.
Distinguishing features included three .50-caliber guns in each wing, a large Allison V-12 engine and improved overall armament versus the P-40C Tomahawk. Kittyhawks could also travel up to 360 mph (580 km/h) and could carry up to 3 bombs at once. Kit features decals for the Mk.I as well as the Mk.III Kittyhawk.
