How cool. I have just been to the warehouse and spotted a new shipment containing the all new Battle Beam, Battle tanks from Forces of Valor. More commonly known for their stunning military models, Forces of Valor have released this new series of radio control tanks to satisfy the needs of both military collector and RC enthusiasts alike.

Once you get one of these out of their box, you know it’s a FOV model as its highly detailed, with realistic paint, weathering and markings as well as additional detailing parts. Modelled in 1/24th scale, these tanks look as good on a shelf as they do in action.

You will need to purchase some batteries to get your tank rolling. The Panasonic Extreme batteries are perfect for the job so I found the required types and powered up my Tiger 1. You get full RC action with these tanks along with sound effects and working lights. Included in the box is a battery powered targeting system to allow you to perfect your gunnery skills before you stumble across a poor little Sherman..........
The Sherman is every bit as detailed as the Tiger 1 and has similar controls. It wasn’t hard to rope one of the warehouse guys in to be an opposing tank commander and we set off from separate corners of the warehouse and set about a one-on-one battle. The Battle Beam system allows you to take shots at your enemy and if good enough, register a hit in the form of their tank shaking. Too many hits and it’s over, your tank is left paralyzed and the battle can only re start after you re start your tank.

With really good movement and turret control functions as well as the ability to go off road...a bit, this battle beam tank system works really well and is really good fun.
