Well, it’s been a week like no other at ModelZone. We’ve got a new Website Content Administrator, Sarah, who enjoyed taking photos of the new 1:18 Minichamps Bentley for our Motoring Special this week. She’s thinking of buying a new car soon – think a Bentley may be a bit ambitious!

And the uniform didn’t really fit either...

Richard, our head of eCommerce, has a growing obsession with the Ford Escorts from his youth. In the last 2 weeks we’ve added over 450 new cars to the site and so many of them have been classic Ford Escorts that he’s considering a second mortgage on his house to pay for both the models themselves and the shelving units to keep them on.

I can’t say that I’ve been much better; I bought myself an Arc Reactor prop to wear under my shirt after watching Avengers Assemble at the weekend (photos to follow next week), still on the lookout for a Stark Industries T-Shirt to go with it if anyone has any ideas? Everyone here has been foaming at the side of the mouth about the new 1:43 Acura NSX Roadster from the movie which was only released yesterday, they really aren’t going to last long.

Unfortunately the temptation doesn’t end there... with the announcement that Oxford have released details of their brand new range of Eddie Stobart Super League trucks, although they aren’t coming until September they are extremely limited editions and we expect them to have sold out long before they arrive.

People have been blogging crazily about film recently, with the Oscars and BAFTAs just behind us. No doubt the streams will intensify in the final months and weeks leading up to this highly anticipated UK cinema release. There’s been so much online buzz about the now titled, “Avengers Assemble”.

What else can we say that hasn’t already been said, other than we have our own way of celebrating such an occasion and doesn’t the line up look juicy!

There’s a growing noise around the office over the arrival of anticipated collectables belonging to our featured Marvel series of Sideshow, Gentle Giant and Hot Toys figures, busts and statues. The epic Marvel film series is about to be stepped up a notch!

We’ll be counting down the days, as the ModelZone Avengers Collection grows and the film release date draws nearer. In case you didn’t know, the official UK cinema release date is 26^th April.

Our My Keepon had a lot of fun when we threw him a spontaneous Christmas party with some of the Christmas toys we have collected in our office. Below is the video of the party winding down, we all think that the penguin might have gotten in to the punch.

Doctor Who fans have been given the chance to travel back in time following the discovery of two missing episodes!

The 1965 and 1967 episodes star William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton, the first two actors to play The Doctor. There are over 100 early episodes of Dr Who still missing which could have traded hands decades ago and be lying, awaiting discovery, in attics and garages across the world.

Our friend My Keepon has been spotted making an appearance on The Gadget Show (Channel 5) on Monday 5th December. One of the presenters, Otis, was very impressed with My Keepon's ability to dance to music and his reactions to being poked and prodded.
