Burrell 5 NHP DCC Road Locomotive - No.4093 ‘Dorothy’ - 1931
Road Locomotive No.4093 'Dorothy' was the last 3 speed Burrell built in 1931 at their Garrett works in Leiston, Suffolk. It was supplied new by agents Stenner & Gunn of Rackenham in Devon, for threshing and saw bench work.
Jack Steere of North Devon purchased the engine in 1934 for similar purposes until 1949. Dorothy was first rallied in the late 1960s after some preservation work by Bert Canton, she is now owned by Dennis and Brian Smith of Banbury
