Land Rover Discovery 3 2005

Recognising that many modern Land Rover customers spend much of their time driving on-road, the Discovery 3 (LR3) was redesigned from the ground up to be more comfortable, luxurious and flexible. The Land Rover Discovery 3 was launched at the New York Motor Show 2004.

Discovery 3 introduced a new vehicle featuring an integrated body frame technology which combines the best of monocoque and chassis design by using new production methods such as hydro forming. The vehicle was powered by a 4.4 litre V8 petrol or 2.7 litre V6 diesel engine.

The Discovery 3 introduced a new off-road feature "Terrain Response" which allows the driver to tailor the vehicles throttle response, transmission shifts, air suspension height and locking differentials to a range of surfaces from rock to grass to mud. "Hill Descent control" automatically works to ease the vehicle down steep descents.

The Range Rover Sport is a luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by Land Rover since 2005. The fifth model in the Land Rover lineup and the first completely new model since the inception of the Freelander in 1996.

The Sport HSE is equipped with a 4.4-litre V8 that develops 300 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. The Supercharged model is equipped with a 4.2-litre V8 that, logically, employs a supercharger to produce 390 hp and 410 ib-ft of torque. It is the second most powerful vehicle in the company's history.
