I therefore took the model back to your shop in Leeds however, I was told it would not be possible to receive a refund because I had purchased it online. Dear Modelzone, I have received the model in respect of the above order today – many thanks for sending it so promptly. However, I was under the impression that the model supplied would be brand new and unfortunately this appears to be either second hand or ex-display. The black base of the display case is chipped and the case seals were broken; on closer inspection the base of the model itself is marked/stained and the tyres are not in perfect condition. The model was also very dusty and covered in small hairs (carpet hair?), almost as if it had been played with by a child. I don’t believe this damage was caused whilst in transit because the box it arrived in was fully in tact and the model was extremely well protected by copius amounts of bubble wrap. I trust it will be possible to exchange the model I received for a replacement in brand new condition. Please could you advise me of your exchange procedure and also whether you will cover any return postage costs I might incur?
