The ulimate train set! A B12 Class locomotive with 3 Pullman coaches and a J52 Locomotive with wagons, all in one box. Add to this the Hornby select Digital controller and you have the makings of a very impressive model railway layout! Use the included Select digital unit to run the Pullman train around the looped circuit while the 0-6-0 J52 Locomotive is busy shunting wagons around either of the two sidings.

Great train set. Good detail on wagons coaches and locos and I am really pleased with it.
Had to put some pebbles from the garden in one of the wagons because it was really light and was de-railing but overall it is really quite amazing!!
Also, it is fairly cheap so pleased about that too...

I got this for Christamas and finally having a train set of my very own (at the age of 39) I have to say it took me right back to being 10 again. The layout is easy to assemble if you stick to the track mat and within a day I had added a track pack and turned it into a double loop. I have since spent some very pleasant evenings watching the trains go around and around. I also have a 3 year old who loves driving the little black engine and particularly enjoys putting nuts in the wagon and moving them around the layout. I would say that she does need supervision as she gets a bit excited but I think that the age rating is more than adequately set at 8. I don't know many 8 year olds who coudn't sort this out with maybe a little help from mum or dad in fitting the rack together. It is in my view after having looked at all the oher hornby stuff the ultimate trainset. Any child or grown up who gets this even without extra track is getting a very substantial gift. It kept me off the PS3 for the whole of Christmas.
