The flag-ship of the Germany Navy, Bismarck was the second largest German warship after the Tirpitz with a displacement of 50,900 tons and a crew of 2092 men. Put into service in 1940, she left port on 1941 together with the Prinz Eugen and was discovered early by British reconnaissance planes. In the encounter with British battleships, Bismarck sunk H.M.S.  Hood on 24th May 1941.  Two days later the Bismarck was hit by aircraft fired torpedoes and intercepted by the British battleships King George V and Rodney. She was s finally sunk 490 km off the French coast. The 1:570 scale model features:
