The FW 190 was regarding by both sides as probably the best German fighter plane, and indeed the best fighter produced by anyone, of the war. The heavy A-8 was used from February 1944, and was adapted to become a highly successful night fighter called the "Wilde Sau" (wild sow).  Model features:
