The German Army’s elite crisis reaction forces (KRK) contribute to operations carried out under NATO, EU and UN mandates. KRK forces are currently in operation with SFOR in Bosnia and with KFOR in Kosovo. The soldiers are equipped with the latest weapons and equipment such as the G-36 assault rifle and they wear special flak jackets to protect them against sniper-fire.
