The Hawker Hurricane was the real victor in the Battle of Britain. Less glamorous than the Spitfire, Hurricanes made more combat kills in the skies above England than their more romantic stable mates. Active in all theatres for the duration of the war, the Hurricane was extensively modified and improved. Heavily armed with 20 mm cannon, the Mk IIC version could also be equipped with bombs and auxiliary tanks. In total over 4,700 of the Mk IIC were built. Model details:
