Technical Spec

The Me 262 was the world’s first operational jet interceptor/fighter-bomber produced in series.   Had Hitler not delayed its introduction by insisting on the fighter-bomber role, it may have caused havoc amongst the massed USAAF bomber formations much earlier than it did. It first saw service in June 1944. With a maximum speed of 865 km/h and an effective combat ceiling of 6,000m, it operated against allied bomber formations with relative impunity, but arrived too late to make a real difference to the air war over the Reich. Model features:

•   Detailed surface structures with flush butt joints, cockpit and instrument panel
•   Two detailed engine pods and landing gear
•   Two pylons and two reserve tanks
•   Two WGR 21 AAM launchers
•   Detailed decals for two versions III/JG.7 and III.E JG.2
