Revell 1:700 U.S.S. Indianapolis (CA-35)
The USS heavy cruiser Indianapolis was a US navy warship of the Portland Class. She was used in the War in the Pacific against Japan. The Indianapolis, which a few days earlier had carried the atomic components for the atom bomb "Little Boy", designed to be dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, from the West Coast of the USA to Tinian Island (north of Guam), was torpedoed by Japanese submarine I-58 on 30th July 1945. The ship quickly keeled over to the starboard side and sank within 12 minutes.
