Featuring twin drive and 5 pole motor, and working directional headlights.

The HST is DCC ready. (Please note there will NOT be a DCC fitted version)

East Coast Trains is the operator of the East Coast mainline routes from London to NE England, Central and Northern and was formed in Nov 2009 by The Department of Transport to operate the East Coast franchise pending re-franchising in 2010.

Only 1,000 pieces of this limited edition model have been made for sale.

East Coast operates HST’s, Class 91’s and Class 180 DMU’s on routes from Kings Cross to Newcastle, Leeds, and Edinburgh.

29-Feb-2012	As a limited edition, this item was almost unique to ModelZone. The power car had Hornby's latest heavy die-cast chassis with centrally mounted motor powering both bogies, however, even for a limited edition the 2-car pack was a tad overpriced at nearly £150.
24-Feb-2012	A really nice model. Similar exclusives would be great, such as the National Express East Anglia set in the same livery with matching class 90 and dvt.
