Gliding, a quiet, peaceful and traditional form of flying. Back before Nitro or Electric engines were available to the masses, gliding was one of the few forms of flight. Gliders feature large, long wings, often with a slight kick up towards the end to allow the model to lift and take advantage of those therms.
Some gliders have small electric motors on board, coupled with a folding prop to help get the aircraft up to altitude then by the flick of a switch the motor is cut and you can start gliding.
