The frequent destruction of bridges during fighting actions led to the development of special armoured vehicles with folding bridging equipment. One of the most succesful and most widely used bridge layer was the M48 Scissors bridge. In folded condition it reached a top speed of 45 km/h while the maximum bridging span was 18 m.

30-Apr-2012	This kit is an interesting item in itself though the scale is unusual making it less suitable for inclusion in a standard scale wargame army. I've bought it to put into Warhammer 40K, in which scale is more flexible. As a kit it is a steal at the sale price so I bought two.
