METTOY was established in 1934 by Philipp Ullmann and Arthur Katz in Northampton and produced tinplate models with clockwork mechanisms. In 1956, Mettoy launched its first range of small, detailed die-cast models to rival the popular Dinky Toys Company - marking the birth of the Corgi brand.

Now, Corgi is proud to give life to the next generation of METTOY 'metal toys', still with clockwork drive mechanisms and made from real tinplate, helping to recapture those pre-war toy days.

This 1:36 scale Routemaster Bus features a detailed interior, operating bell, front wheel steering and key winder and is a strictly limited edition.
