The well-established Scottish livestock haulier started as Ian A Murrie in April 1985 when Ian purchased a DAF 2300 from George Walker - retiring from haulage. Ian was given his first livestock job by John Gourley from Stirling who played a major role in getting Ian established, as did John Eddie from Eddie Bros Transport, who allowed Ian to use their premises and by giving him straw to transport.

In 2009 Ian A Murrie became Ian Murrie Haulage Ltd, and the Scania R, M18 COO, as modelled here, was put on the road in January 2010.
